Here is what i have going on. My nephews xbox has a dead network chip. Since ftp is out of the question i need to to get the eprom.bin off the hardrive so i can create a hdkey for my my 120 gig hd that I'm sticking in my nephews xbox. Since hotswapping works i can unlock the hardrive and hook it up to my server wich is running gentoo and then copy the file. My questions are
1. Will your fatx modules work on gentoo running a 2.4 kernel
2. if they do work what files do i need to download and how would i make it work (I have no problem with compiling kernels, but I have not tried patching one yet)
3. if they don't work, what would i need to do to get fatx support for my gentoo on my pc.
I was also thinking maybe i could hotswap after i have gentoox up on my good xbox and copy the files to it.
any suggestions or help would be greatly apreciated.
by the way Gentoox ROCKS! (great job man keep it up)
