Is there a reason the MCE installer will only flash the bios with a 256k image? I picked up an older xbox on ebay with a "dirty disc" error dvd drive. I was hoping to stick the MCE on there, but according to the site, the installer wants to reflash the active bios (and in my case, only availible option) with the 256k cromwell.

Is there a way to use a 1meg chip? I have no problem flashing my bios and using a 1meg cromwell image before doing the install, but once I attempt to install MCE, I see myself running into a problem. Is there a way I can edit the installer cd to make it reflash with a 1 meg bios?

oh, apperently this issue has already been addressed in the current release. I hadn't been to the page for a while to check.

Yes, this is why the version that only flashed 256K was a beta
