Can I get the MCE to see files (mpg's, avi's and mp3's) on my pc hard drive?
If not, I can't see the point of it. I use my xbox with xbmc to stream what I watch to my bedroom xbox/tv.

you need to edit fstab to make it mount your windows shares (same as you have to edit the config on xbmc)
