MCE on an 8.4GB HD with no patition

Hi,
first my Xbox
Bios : cromwell 2.40
Modchip : NO
Any Microsoft left : NO
Linux Distri/Version: Xebian 1.0.0 (installed with Mechinstaller)
Partitions : one for "swap" and one for "/"
HID : benQ USB wireless Keyboard/Mouse
It runs without any heavy problems for 6 month or more in my livingroom as DVD-Player, fileserver and so on. Because of little problems and because I am no friend of debain I want to reinstall my Xbox with the Gentoox Mediacenter. I burned the image, booted from CD, Gentoo automaticly formated my box and then an error appears: "Error creating swap partition". I think the installation crashes because I don't see the "20GB Harddrive at least" in the manual.
I booted a liveCD of an other Distry and checked the hda. It seems that
there are no patitions left. Gentoox deleted my Xebian swap and my "/"
patition. Thats ok, but how can I install the gentoox mediacenter on an empty 8.4GB harddrive? Or should I install the normal Gentoo Version?
best regards
