I wanted set mythtv up but I don't understand how to do it.
I can't find a step by step guide...
And can you run the server/backend on a windows machine, I only use linux on my xbox for now.
What is required for the backend. And what is mySQL, and is this the backend server?
I'm totaly lost.

Gentoox Boot Screen
About 6 month ago I tried Gentoo on my PC and installed everything after 3 days of fixing. But then went back to windows.
The install cd had this nice boot screen.
Is it possible to have this on a gentoox or on gentoo installation?

Sound Problem
I have 5.1 sound in mplayer and can watch movies perfectly. But I emerged quake2, but get "/dev/dsp/ broken pipe something" when I launch it. But it runs fine. I also want to knwo if there is a way to get it to play in full screen? I also wanted to play Warcraft 2 and Diablo 1 on my xbox b...

I used the new xbvset to just try if I could have 1024x768 on my cheap television. I picked HDTV and then 740p and then 1024x768. And rebooted. The funny thing is that it works quit well. I want it disabled. I think it's xbv that kill my video signal. It showes for 3 seconds then I my monitor go in to power saving. I'm using my home made VGA cable with sync seporator. Do u know how to recompile the kernel to get native VGA?
I have install gentoox 3 times and everytime I run magic I get some error that the downlaod was corrupted and it does not finish.
I thought I could use the X2VGA script to enable true VGA. Maybe I'm just stupid.
