I wanted set mythtv up but I don't understand how to do it.
I can't find a step by step guide...
And can you run the server/backend on a windows machine, I only use linux on my xbox for now.

What is required for the backend. And what is mySQL, and is this the backend server?

About 6 month ago I tried Gentoo on my PC and installed everything after 3 days of fixing. But then went back to windows.
The install cd had this nice boot screen.
Is it possible to have this on a gentoox or on gentoo installation?

I have 5.1 sound in mplayer and can watch movies perfectly. But I emerged quake2, but get "/dev/dsp/ broken pipe something" when I launch it. But it runs fine. I also want to knwo if there is a way to get it to play in full screen? I also wanted to play Warcraft 2 and Diablo 1 on my xbox b...

Can't he change voc and hoc in the linuxboot.cfg? It worked for me when I wanted 1024x768 on my TV (Not HDTV).
When I ran xbvset I chosed HDTV...

If you got windows me and up on your pc you can run the network guide then it will set up a dhcp server.

Never mind, with the new xbox frame driver you just need to change hoc and voc in linux.cfg.

I used the new xbvset to just try if I could have 1024x768 on my cheap television. I picked HDTV and then 740p and then 1024x768. And rebooted. The funny thing is that it works quit well. I dont got a HDTV just a cheap ass TV. Now to the problem. Now I cant adjust so I see the whole picture. And if ...

How do I set the clock?

It was kinda easy to make it work without xbvset.
I looked at the vga tutorial on xbox-linux.org and edited XF86Config by hand and it worked kinda.
The screen get black after a few seconds, and going into power saving but then you kill x, and restart it and it works!

I want it disabled. I think it's xbv that kill my video signal. It showes for 3 seconds then I my monitor go in to power saving. I'm using my home made VGA cable with sync seporator. Ahhh I have also had these problems, i wasted a whole weekend 2 weeks ago to get my gentoox updated, I'll install gentoox and try today I hope with bether luck.

Do u know how to recompile the kernel to get native VGA?
I have install gentoox 3 times and everytime I run magic I get some error that the downlaod was corrupted and it does not finish.

I thought I could use the X2VGA script to enable true VGA. Maybe I'm just stupid.
