I knwo its been said their is no 3D for linux on the Xbox.. but why.. is not the real video chip a NV3 (nvidia) and the other chips are converters for output ?? MS can't hvae all original xbox games using one driver and then release a new version of the xbox.. so why no tuse the nvidia driver?? plea...

Yes the MS Dash you set it to the hd setting like it says in the x2vga paper that comes with it.. once you set it in the MS dash and reboot your other dashes will work and the gentooloader from you other dash will display.

ok I fixed it.. not the best way.... I backed up all my stuff using ed@chip and well F using other *software* to my pc.. I let gentoo format the drives fatx and did a non-native f install. then I copied everything back.. now when I look at F I see everythign and no more messed up stuff.. I have a sm...

sorry I would never have tried that as I have a smartXX chip and I have the GentooX bios 5.4 loaded and still hve 8 other banks.. so I never tried loading from EvoX..

I am advoiding the whole lirc by using wireless xbox controllers. and progrma the keys for mythtv.. Shallax just added support for the Spirit wireless controllers..

or you can use ripdvd (emerge ripdvd)

it will let you fine tune your trnascodeing and preview the diffrence..

so you never had gentoox started in the first place (all the way) correct.. I woudl start with getting gentoox installed on a normial tv and then run xbvset to change to vga out..

do you have putty or ssh.. I would do that..

with a 1.6 you will always have overscan unless you have a hdtv

emerge-webrsync should work..

can you log in through ssh?

most emerges that fail on gentoox is due to low memory on the xbox. after a emerge fails I always go back and use the --resume options.. it normally fixes any problems.


I also prefer vlc to mplayer.. unless I am at the command line.. then Mplayer is the only way to fly.
