I don't know if anyone did this before, but I just thought I'd like to say that I got Gentoox Pro 1.5 running on my Linux dedicated Xbox without any sorts of Microsoft stuff remaining in the system. Hi, I think both are good and worth putting on the xbox. In some places Xebian takes an upper hand and in some Gentoox. Definitely Gentoox, much faster, portage is eaisier to use than apt-get. 8)

I can think of a few ways to do a 100% native install, not that hard. On a desktop Linux PC you can mount the rootfs loopback filesystem and extract it's file (I don't remember the command, as of writing) and then you can have the 200 GB drive attached and copy all the files out of the loopback file...

I've just done a fresh installation (FTP method) of Gentoox Pro 1.4, and I have set the make.profile sym link to: /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/x86/2004.0 But when I try either env-update or portage itself, I get this error: !!!
