You always install to /E/ then run magic f-drive -- no other way. Read the FAQ for info on the negative filesize for rootfs.

Because the magic patch edits the initrd.gz file and the fstab within the rootfs --- If you wanted one that installs directly to F, youd need seperate rootfs and initrd.gz... and Im not gonna be supplying two versions of those which would double the size of the distro. I cant believe you let people ...

Home v2.1

Im currently working on homev2.1 which will have a completely updated set of packages preinstalled (basically upgrading to Gentoo 1.4 final). Are there any features people would like to see added? List them here and I'll see what I can do!

There is no magic patch for fluxbox, just emerge it, then add it to /home/gentoox/.xinitrc in place of startkde or wmaker! :)

Not possible, youre talking about assigning functions in the base xpad usb driver... that would cause issues later as these buttons would always be assigned to typing these responses. Its simple and convenient enough as it is... just follow the instructions, you just highlight the word and drag righ...

To backup your Gentoox installation, you just need to save a copy of the "rootfs", "initrd", "vmlinuz" and "linuxboot.cfg" files. If anything goes wrong with your installation, just delete these files, then reupload your saved copies!
