Compiling cromwell is hard to explain.. but put simply.. extract the tarball, then run "make" and the BIOS appears in ./image/

Ill try one more thing with the Cromwell BIOS to see if i can get the screen back :P

"magic xfree" isnt a command "magic usage" shows all valid commands. Xfree doesnt emerge qt afaik, mplayer does.

I dont use xromwell to boot it unfortunately (mainly because its still very buggy). If you want it, you do it :P

You start stardust, then let the installer reflash your bios :P I think ill do something about this, ill make a one-for-all bios that lets you launch linux and install from one bios.

To be honest, I think theres enough variety with wmaker and KDE being the "officially" supported windowmanagers. If people want to change it to their "favourite" one, they can do it themselves :P

I thought id explained it well enough in the stardust readme (available on this site). You should always aim to use stardust and cromwell (to make it 100% legal). Even if youre not using cromwell, always use stardust as it takes out any errors that the user could make whilst installing Gentoox.
