remove blackdown-jre-1.4.1 from default iso's
Just curiuos from a clean GentooX Pro 1.5 install when you do revdep-rebuild the blackdown-jre-1.4.1 has some linking problems so it attempts to reinstall it.. But this is no longer in portage. also you already have 1.4.2 installed so there is really no need for this package.. Unless something requi...

masking packages so emerge don't update
I have been reading the Portage manual and i thought it was a good idea to create a /etc/portage/package.mask file for the Xbox which would prevent portage from updating certain software that needs special patchs to work with the xbox ala alsa, xfree, kernel If i could get the software and versions ...

(Hope you don't mind me asking a few questions about it) First was going to ask will the boot loader read the .cfg file from /boot for the Native section of the boot loader? I was just asking because i have had bad experiances with reiserfs messing up my harddrives before. (Was running Slackware 9.0 on desktop) And also i wasn't asking to make ext3 the whole thing just an option.. Plus i wouldn't expect you to support two different kernel versions as if this is wanted t...

choice of ext3 or reiserfs for native install?
I understand that you are keeping reiserfs for the rootfs images because of how better reiserfs is at lowering dist usage with small files. But would it be possible to give users a choice of ext3 or reiserfs if they are doing a native installer? I have actually hacked a gentooxinstaller file and cop...

create magic.conf for gentoox pro
I was thinking about this and creating this so that you don't have to answre if you want to install kde, xfree, mplayer etc. every time that you run magic. so what when you actually wanted it changed you could edit a file and then run magic..
