What type of install do you have? If it is a Native install I have seen it fail to sync if you forget to enable the swap partition, just a thought....

well I `know` I have the partision marked as active, it`s not that hard to check, as you know. As it is at the moment I have both bioses on one xbox, I boot from 5.11 then switch to 6.-> to recover / install, its no big deal, least I still have the options.

yes chap, if you read the full post you will see that just by changing the bios down to 5.11 makes it boot, ergo the problem must be within the 6.-> bioses. However it doesn't seem to afect all native v6 installs. Thank for the above post though as its good for us mear mortals to see how it all work...

That would be the illusive v6.-> loader bug and NOT this tutorial. Ask shallax for v5.11 of the loader, but be nicer and use the search.

Lol, yes you should be able to follow the tutorial fine, but substitute the guts of the PRO CD for the Home CD at the "Then copy over the roofs file out of the distro.rar" bit, and please try to keep the native questions to the native thred. Good luck and let us know how you get on….
