FatX has a 48 character filename limitation (IIRC), no way around it unless you are using a loopback install (e drive install for example) then you can use filenames that are very very long. Why recompile, if you have never ran magic and it updated your kernel, just take the initrd.gz and vmlinuz (you prolly just need vmlinuz) from the install cd you used to your Gentoox version /shrug

Well I see this in one of two ways. First, if your using a software exploit to load a .xbe and ultimately linux, your still booting from the Microsoft bios, this does not have the functionality to do this. your xbox is resolving 26-AMD64 to 69.25.142.57, which is your public IP address, not a Private IP (192.168.0.x)
