Yeah, those were there. I went and started over from the beginning; now when the pc_kbd: key stuck error or whatever finally clears up (even without anything plugged in the controller ports), I get reiserfs_read_super: can not find reiserfs on ide0(3,1) kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on ...

Flashed with Loader 5.11, but doesn't detect hdd installatio
I finally got through that detailed tutorial of how to install gentoox 100% natively, yet the loader bios doesn't give the option to boot from the hard drive. I've done every step; copied over vmlinuz, created linuxboot.cfg, wiped out and re-did fstab...but it only shows CD/DVD boot and Advanced.

and then I mounted it under KNOPPIX as /mnt/gentooxrootfs and copied all the files from /mnt/gentooxrootfs over to /mnt/hda3. How'd you manage that? All I get is this crap: root@ttyp0[etc]# mount /mnt/hdd2/rootfs /mnt/test -t reiserfs mount: /mnt/hdd2/rootfs is not a block device (maybe try `-o loo...

Can't mount rootfs files
I'm trying to do a full native install. I've formatted my 10GB drive and sent over the rootfs file. Resctoox:> ls -l /mnt drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Aug 3 2003 e drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 72 Oct 18 22:11 hda2 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Oct 18 22:33 loopback drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 1024 Aug 3 2003 swap...

Thanks. Unfotunately, it seems to demand a 4.5GB partition no matter what when installing, so my hope of having it on the free F: space of a 10GB drive is smashed. Guess I'll look into formatting the entire thing as EXT2/3 and having a 10GB native install. Apparently that's not terribly difficult to...
