I'm no linux expert, but make sure you're running your Mambo program as root. Otherwise I don't know what could be wrong....

1. Yes. Your Samsung drive should also be able to read most CD-R's and DVD-R's. 2. Well, if you still have the stock harddrive, then at most, your F partition is only 2GB, which isn't enough for Gentoox (requires 4.5GB). Your best bet would be to install it on the E drive, but first make sure you ha...

No, you don't need to flash anything. What happens is that the Phoenix Bios Loader loads a different bios into memory, thus allowing you to use newer bioses without flashing your chip/tsop. Btw, 4983 is encrypted AFAIK, and I'm not sure if you can make a BFM version of it. The Evox M8, the IND Bios ...

Yes you can, the only limititation is that you can only use a composite video correction, and if I remember correctly, Shallax said that the Xbox 1.6 has no overscan correction, so if you can't see the whole image on the screen, then there's really not much you can do about it without changing TV's.

If you have a modchip with a built in OS (gen4 modchips), then yes, you could just use the OS to reflash your chip. If you're using an older chip that doesn't have an OS (gen3 or lower), then you can't really reflash your chip/tsop again, as most programs that do are native Xbox programs that can't ...

magic f-drive on large hDD?

Hello, I have a 250GB HDD in my Xbox and I have the latest (3.1) Gentoox Home edition installed on my E drive. However, i would like to move the rootfs and the swap file to my F drive because I only have 37MB free on E, which isn't enough for gamesaves and/or custom soundtracks. However, I only have...

I figured as much. Oh well, my Xbox is right beside my router, I just won't be able to access my LAN if I moved my box to my room. But then again, if I got a cheap wireless router, couldn't I configure it to act as an access point, and then have my xbox wired to it?

WLAN through USB?

Hi, I'm trying to get WLAN access through my Microsoft MN-510 USB adaptor, however I searched a bit and found out that the few USB wlan drivers for linux that do work require a USB adaptor with the prism chipset. Is this true, and if so, how can I find out which chipset my adaptor has? And if It doe...
