if it works in the console then it fucks up in the xserver then your settings in the initrc are funky or incorrect check that the ntsc/pal is right....

i dunno read the manual ;)

a usb hub must have an external power supply.. usb will only supply 5v and that is not enough power for a hub of usb i have not tested usb hubs yet but i assum being as its Universal Serial Bus as the name suggests it should just automatically map... check the linux usb project i think its linux-usb...

you probably already know to make sure that your IP and SUBNET match.. as in the default is 192.168.1.1 in gentooX and windows is 192.168.0.1 so make sure that the 1 and the 0 are one or the other but need to be same and your subnet must be same 255.255.255.0 ... errr not much else could be wrong.. ...

nooo i wasn't but hey thats cool..

i asked a few people on a irc server i frequent (australian) and they could not dns you either... so its not me personally or my isp .. prehaps you should put it in the pile of things to fix later :)

errr.. ok well you might want to check your dns pointing or maybe its my end but ive had a few problems with connecting to shallax.com servers between 9:30pm -> 3:00am GMT+10 on a regular basis, almost every weekday... i dont know wether its australian name servers.. my isp or you or somewhere in be...

here is a novel idea then :) stop taking the server down so we can always run it..... better yet get a decent mirror.. i can suggest a few if need be.. (what kind of server does it need? maybe i can be of help (i know you are poor)
