Nic #1 - the one on the same network as the Xbox. The Xbox won't know how to get to the Nic #2 address because it's on a different network. With the inside (#1) interface of your pc as the default gateway it will then be able to tell packets destined for other IP's (ie. your nic #2 IP) where to go. ...

I used an action replay which I manually inserted the save games onto... I only ended up doing this because my software smashing skills are better then my soldering skills...

oh... and if you go the fbset route you need to make a note of all the settings and make sure the system runs fbset with all those settings in the init process.... I sort of hacked it into the /etc/init.d/fbset but it doesn't need to (probably shouldn't) be there.... any comments from the 'smart' on...

The I can't quite get my video right HOWTO.
:) - This is all WAY easier (maybe only possible) if you do everything from an root ssh session from another box while watching your xbox display on the TV/Monitor. I found sitting in the living room with my laptop networked in wireslessly worked well. First - Try going through the modes that xbvset...

Since I can't change anything on the TV what could I play with that wouldn't be 'easy'? :) I'm happy to hack around. What's the scoop with the XF86config files? They don't seem to do what they usually do. Is this stuff hard coded somewhere? Where? I promise once I figure out how to get things workin...

Not that I would have any basis for knowing this... after all why would anyone run XBMC when they can run Linux! We sho...
