Wouldn't the solder points to enable writing to the tsop need to be soldered?. If they were then I reckon the tsop has been flashed :(.

My xbvinit file is empty. I also get the garbled screen about 8 seconds after the new logon screen.

Focus not working in new magic update

I have a focus chip and still get the garbled screen after running magic and updating. Do I need to be running XFCE instead of KDE to get support. Also I see that XFCE has the nvidia driver so does that allow true 3d hardware support?.

Also wanted to add Gentoox rox :D
