how to prevent magic from downgrading to 2.4 again?

I just read that you updated magic and it will downgrade everybody again to 2.4.

I don't have any problems with 2.6 so is there a way to keep the 2.6 kernel and still run magic to get all the other improvements there are available through magic?

Understood!

I'm reinstalling and currently waiting on rootfs extraction under the native option.

I can see how a native install would be much faster.

File size limitations

I have my xbox setup with Slayers evox and Gentoox Home 3.1. I want to use Linux as a file server (mainly for large images) but when I try to upload an image over 4GB I get an error through Samba stating the the network drive is no longer available. A similar thing happens when trying to FTP (i.e. i...

it's worth every penney

I found 4 memory modules about half a year ago and soldered them in myself. It's the best mod for the xbox that I did. You have to have a pair of steady hands and take your time. I actually had some solder bridges and my xbox first did not boot, but after looking through a microscope I found them an...

Now everything is up and running. My ram shows up in gentoox and it really is a BIG performance boost. I would recommend soldering the additional RAM chips any time. Now I have another question. What packages is gentoox based on? Can I install rpm packages. I would like to install Gimp and I just wa...

gentoox Bios as seperate Download

I did not write the gentoox bios during install. Is it possible to get it from the CD or can you add it to your downlaod area? I finally got gentoox to install! But it only boots through the Mechinstaller crack. But this way I only have 64MB of ram. I installed 128MB and I found a way now to verify ...
