Ok, I've solved it. The command echo 'LIRC_DEVICES="atiusb"' >> /etc/make.conf needed to be changed to echo 'LIRC_DEVICES="xboxusb"' >> /etc/make.conf aswell... But one should still use atiusb in the other places... - e.g. modprobe etc... Please observe that there are a few missp...
