If what he says above is the case (I have read external forums and havent found people having issues though), you may want to consider just buying 2 XBOX port - USB adapters for a USB mouse and USB keyboard. It will cost you approximately the same amount as buying this PS2 adapter, and its likely a ...

I don't think you should have any problems It looks like a basic passthrough for ps2 devices - the following link only mentions some issues with certain modded xboxes -but not sure if yours falls into the same category:

Ok I will check my kernel config. However, do you have a good kernel config to use? Ive just been using the one supplied in the 2.6 source (with xbox patch) - obviously not yielding good results.

Suggest getting a USB adapter - you can use that with any standard USB keyboard - or even get two for a USB mouse too. I paid approximately $10 Australian (you can convert that to whatever currently you use) on ebay

I did the symlink, and the emerge command above, and then copied the new bzImage to mnt/fatx/e/vmlinuz. The system boots and the window manager starts (xfce i think it is?) However, the system does not get an ip address...from the boot messages it says it is 127.0.0.1. (which is obviously just loopb...

Ok, i tried what orochi suggested (before Shallax's recent post), and as shallax said, that didnt work. Ive been trying to do the emerge modules-init-tools, however it looks like the source is not valid...do you know where i can get a good source list for emerge, and where I can edit this? Also, I'm...

Hehe oh no! oh well lol, I should have saved it when I had the chance :) Yeah, I learned long ago that the Fatx driver is no good, hence why im only after native installations. From what I can remember of that old script, there was some step to rebuild initrd, but I guess that was for the fatx setup...
