At the command line type date. This will show the current time your xbox thinks it is.

Xbox root # date
Fri Oct 21 18:39:55 BST 2005
To adjust type in date plus what you want to change it to with the format being MMDDhhmmYYYY. Ie, for above it would be "date 102118392005",

I usually just leave the gentoox cd in the drive and it boots right into linux for me.

I get this error when I try to do the losetup
Xbox root # losetup /dev/loop/1 /mnt/fatx/f/part1di5
ioctl: LOOP_SET_FD: Device or resource busy
