Most developers probably never hear such things as this...

Hello, ShaLLaX! I bought an Xbox for the sole purpose of installing linux on it in 2005. I read up on Xebian, the Xbox Debian distro, and also a version of Damn Small Linux for the Xbox before running into your site about Gentoox. I knew that this was going to be the one for me. I installed it nativ...

Magic isn't being so magical...

I am having problems getting updates via Magic. My install is full native (via Cheesyboofs tutorial, with the only exception being I used the Home 4.0 rootfs instead of Pro 2.0) and I keep getting this error when I run Magic: This will install tools to let you change your fan speed and check system ...

What kind of install did you do? If you did a Native F install, then other software will see that there is nothing on the F partition, since Native F turns the entire F partition into a Linux partition.

Yes, using the fully native guide is a bad thing for you. It renders the entire hard disk usless for playing xbox games. You need to format your hard disk to normal C, E, and F (no G) using normal methods that are covered at http://www.xbox-scene.com in the tutorials section. Then just perform an Na...

Just wanted to say that I have successfully made one of my xboxes fully native via this tutorial. I think this tutorial is very well written and I (along with many others) dearly thank you for taking the time to write this tutorial out. Thanks again!

If you have flashed a hacked BIOS onto the chip, then all you have to do is download gentoox, put it on a disc, and follow instructions.

No, you do not need a modchip to do this. You can "softmod" your xbox, which does not require you to open the xbox. All you need is a few extra materials. I personally have not successfully softmodded an xbox before, but tutorials can be found at http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php und...

Problems with people outside LAN connecting to FTP server...

I didn't know where else to post this thread, so here I am in the Newbie section... I want to use Gentoox as an FTP server. I can connect to it just fine if I use its 192.168.x.x address. When I or someone else tries its true IP address that is used by the Internet, the FTP client displays the follo...

wine trouble :(

I am having trouble with wine. I mount my cdrom and cd to the cdrom directory. When I type "wine install.exe" or "wine setup.exe" an error box opens saying "No program start menu found." I have no clue what this means, please help.
