Ok... right now.. I just deleted my gentoox server after I took a back up. What do I do now? 1. Use XBMC as a uPnP server with all my music and stuff? (gonna miss the network drive) 2. Make a new Gentoox server with MediaTomb? (Samba server included) 3. Build a Win Server to do all the file serving?...

Hi all.. Now Im getting an error, something that Gentoox cant mount, becouse it has been mounted XX times.. something.. Well, I startet Retoox, and it just freezez when checking disk. Finally I did it, but how to autostart??

Ok, I finally got my Gentoox on my box, with Samba, MediaTomb (UPnP mediaserver) and Azureus with AzSMRC plugin installed.. So, how do I add MediaTomb and Azureus to the boot sequence? Hmmm..
I really like to get Gentoox working on my large 500GB disk, but it fails..
and yes, I run Ext3..
I tryed to install it on a small 20GB and it went perfect.. no bugs at all..
So what now? any brainnies with the answer?

Well, On a little 20GB disk I didt not had that error.
But this time I did the installarion on wire, means that all the maskine was hooked up with LAN cable. Normaly I didt it with the box and wire, and my Laptop on Wlan..

Maybe there is something there..

When Im follow the native guide, and after I have copyed the rootfs to the box, and mounted it, Ill start copying the content. # cp -a /mnt/loopback/* /mnt/hda2 I get this error aften some time (on the Xbox screen) _alloc_pages: 0-order allocation failed (gfp=0x92/0) What is it? I keep getting a ext2 superblock error..

I have tryed mk2fs -n to get the superblocks and the I tryed e2fsck -b xxxxx <-- with the numbers I got from mk2fs
no luck.. :(

I have tryed to force a block size (4096) no result..

I this error sometime: Could this be zero-lenght partition??

Any one?

I dont think I can use sparkle, I run a native install on my box (Cheesypoofs guide) and I allso dont know how to use Sparkle.

Put the HD in a PC.. I only have a laptop..

Any one else??

ok, I have a huge problem.. I use my box for a NAS drive, and now it wont boot, I dont even have the "native" option in the Bootloader.. I have tryed to start up Retoox and Xebian from disk, so I can mount the hda an copy out the data, to reinstall gentoox, but with no luck. Under Xebian I get an er...
