Pointless? Nah - I did not know how to do any of that and taught myself how. So I was able to learn. That was the point. :) Also I would have to had to ftp upload all to E:\ then use resctoox. Before that, I would have had to free 800mb on E:. With seeing what had to be edited to get it to work usin...

Thank You nobspangle ! (way late comming) :)
Well I cannot say that was easy but I figured it out. I followed the process nobspangle pointed out. (I did not need to use chroot - and still do not know what nano was) I was able to make the edits and Gentoox Pro 2.0a is running - just loaded successfully and waiting for a login! If you know the c...

Well my bios does support 48bit addressing for HardDrives to overcome the 137gig limit. I do not have my xbox with me today or i would try it. I would like F: to be bigger. The bios does have 2 choices = F: gets all or F: and G: drive combo. If I can set the size of G: would it be an issue is F: is ...

Exactly! I want to keep F: for my games and homebrew xbox appz. I have a 250gb drive at the momemt and F: is using the rest of the drive. I am guessing I need to off load all my thing from all the drives and start over. My mod chip gives me the option to create a G: drive. I was thinking of giving 2...

The install worked and I have a functioning F: drive install (which is the root and swap on f: and the rest on e: ). It did not disturb any software I had on F: or E: IT did error out when it attemp...

I had to reply to this thread. What I could not beleave is how I was mislead time and time again. Anyway, I will give this a try but will be a few days from now as I am out of free time to work on this. At least now I can save the magic update time as long as I can replicate what Fat Elivs did. Havi...

Bad News
Ok I used Resctoox from HD and it worked. It did give an error of "Unable to init PCI device" (not exact wording but somthing like that.) It did continue to load and I was at the Resctoox prompt with the commands above that showed what to type to move install to E: or F: I used the one to ...
