Each line of the fstab is a mount. Somewhere in there you should have a line that mounts /mnt/fatx/f Just make sure that line is before this one /mnt/fatx/f/f_xboxfs /mnt/f_xboxfs reiserfs loop, defaults 0 0 Otherwise you are trying to mount something that is not there & until f gets mounted /mnt...

Trixter this happened to me too.

Edit fstab in /etc and change the order of mounting

i.e. make sure f gets mounted before f_xboxfs
if it's not then it can't mount

Yep I use memtest86 on my pc. The only thing is you have to boot it rather than running it as an app and I am not sure how to do that under gentoox. The read-me says edit lilo so it can boot, but obviously I can't do that. Is there away to do it under Gentoox or is there anything else that does run ...

Is there a memory checker that I can run under Gentoox

Hi Guys, Just upgraded my xbox ram to 128mb and everything looks good  . The Gentoox boot screen reports 128mb as does phpsysinfo. What I would like to do though is run an app under Gentoox that tests all the ram and maybe do a "bit walk" through the memory. Is there such a thing out ...

Is there something weird going on with the temperature/fan

@ShALLaX Is there something weird going on with temperature/fan control within Gentoox? The other day my server increased temperature and the fan speed ramped up. I was not doing anything on the server and I had no processor intensive apps running. I done a reboot and the temperature instantly went ...

The config file has absolutely nothing to do with you not being able to connect from the wan. This is probably a firewall/port forwarding issue. I use this config file and I can ftp in from anywhere.

The IP address you have in your post is not a valid ip address 82.69.117.

Good luck

By "Public account" I guess you mean anonymous access? If so, here is my conf file. It allows for anonymous access to your proftpd server. It also includes one upload folder that users can drop stuff off in. Any folders you make within /home/ftp/ will be seen by all users. Any file can be ...

You only need to add "UseReverseDNS off" the "snippet" of code is just to show you where it goes. The config file can be found in /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf any changes you make will need a restart of the ftp server for the changes to take effect. Visit the proftpd website for exa...

The reason that it takes awhile to login is you need to add the "UseReverseDNS off" line to proftpd.conf Example:- <Global> PassivePorts 49152 65534 IdentLookups off MaxClients 5 AllowRetrieveRestart on AllowStoreRestart on AllowOverwrite on </Global> UseReverseDNS off Cheers

Correct, you can just boot gentooxx.xbe and use 128mb. Hi ShALLaX, Been looking through all the posts regarding using 128mb RAM with Gentoox and it seems the criteria has changed over time. From the posts I have read at first it would seem that I need to flash my bios with cromwell, but from the po...

What news regarding x2vga?

As far as I know ShALLaX will be working on it once his has arrived. The news post that ShALLaX posted is still there. It has just been bumped into news archive due to the amount of other new news stories.

Would like to mount a small rootfs file on E?

Hi Guys, I am running Pro 1.1 natively on F (stock drive) and what I would like to do is mount a roofs type file on E just for a little bit of extra storage for my web-site. I would like to make this about a gig in size and then mount it using loopback. I tried just doing a redirect in the apache co...
