i am new to gentoox, why people have to install the system in /mnt ?? instead why not mount /, /home, /usr, /tmp and others partitions on its own partitions with reiser4? fastest linux xbox arround. I dont know how to do that though but i guess it's possible.

ok for my record, i know shallax did a create job with linux on the xbox and by far gentoo linux is the way to go. I dont think i am the only one trying to get reiser4 support with the xbox.. i did search of course before i post, why do i have to wait for an answer when i probably can find what i am...

i have succesfully upgraded the kernel, but then when I boot back to 2.4, make some file changes, then go back to 2.6 the files appear to be corrupt! i dont know why I would go back to v2.4. I presume gentoox wont break now.. resulting in an unbootable system. i am currently updating my system right...

i have typed in "native" for the installation method using SSH, now i have upload a picture so you guys can see what's in my E drive, again, there's nothing in my F drive and i just check again and there's a "swap" file in Y drive ?
