Anyone? Or is it the truth - the Xcalibur doesn't support HDTV in GentooX yet

When I hook up the HD Cables and go to Linux, the screen garbles up, the diagonal lines move up the screen, and the screen is an orange tint. Not good?

How Long Does Magic Take?
I ran Magic for the first time on my GentooX install, was I supposed to? It's roughly taken 3 hours and it's not done
Any tips, or should I start over? I have no clue what to do after I install everything, like how to install KDE (I can't find the tutorial).
