i used the rescue cd successfully before i installed the gentoox loader. now the gentoox loader *only* gives the option of "install stardust" and there appears to be no way to boot from a cd. is there some secret way to get those other icons (the left two icons) to work from the loader? is...

the specific error (the part that i can read) is:

unable to mount devfs. error -5

no init found. try passing "init=" to loader

hrm.

any ideas how to proceed from here would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the reply. i have found a stardust iso in the home gentoox distro, but it crashes on an error "no init found". hrm. so i'd be happy to try to reflash with the MCE bios. how do i do that? right now i've got the gentoox loader installed and it doesn't allow me to do anything other...
