What I don't understand is why anyone would try using GentooX with the GUI (XFree) with only 64Mb. It's virtually unusable. After X loads there's virtually no physical memory left, loading Office took the best part of 2 minutes. For using as a server of course, it's good as gold if left in terminal ...

Gentoox generally doesn't work if your F drive goes past the LBA28 boundary. Try an F install and you'll find it works. It will also work with an F drive install if you have a seperate F and G drive, or you can manually do a native install to G. I thought that might be the case. I wanted to have it...

I'm trying to install GentooX on my v1.4/1.5 Crystal Xbox (Focus encoder) and I'm having no luck. I wanted to use it with my X2VGA adaptor, but no joy.
