well, i solved the problem. works sweet. i used the new nv module in the cvs which is only a few days old. personally i think everything is a lil bit faster.

well, i tried it myself and it works. i can see colors ;D

i have only problems with watching video files, the left corner of a video is in the middle of the screen. perhaps a wrong config of mplayer.

will there be soon suppport for xorg-x11 instead of xfree?

they should be binary compatible

i see that the new kernel is already on xbox-linux cvs.

it would be very nice if it home 3.1 has the new kernel or an update in the magic scripts would allow to install it

yeah kernel 2.6 would be great in 3.1

yes, i needed the name of the module to load it. an additional info, you need to modify the event.py in /usr/python**/site-packages/ to enable some buttons of the remote.

well after hours of searching i found the correct module.

it is called usb-xboxir

it seems that the up, down, left, right and select/enter, 1-0 buttons work correctly without configuration.

hi, has anyone of you succeeded in getting the xbox-remote working? i mean the original ms dvd-kit. well, if yes. it would be nice if someone could explain how he/she made it and which files/drivers i need. @Shallax, does the new Home Version 3.0 support the dvd remote? i am looking forward for your...

you just have to type

modprobe -d usb-storage

your usb-hardware is then on /dev/sda

you could use on freevo.org their new ebuild shallax and integrate it in your magic scripts.the new version is not in the portage. i installed it and have to say, there are no problemes and it works great.

freevo is exactly what i wanted.

alsa 0.9.1 is outdated :>
