Thanks for the suggestion, but that's too much work.
Sounds like the next Beta will have non flashable support
in it anyway. But still no support for 'G' drive...

hard to get excited about MCE when...
...the beta won't support xenium or loopback drives.
Let me know when they add non-direct-flashable bios support
and alternatives to the native 'f' install. If a native drive is required,
I really hope they'll add 'g' drive support...

OK, so I reinstalled via ftp method and was able to ssh in, get magic running, and now everything is running just fine. Now I just need to find the suitable .xbe to replace the bootloader gentoox.xbe so I go straight into linux and I'm all set, resize the text fonts larger for a composite video conn...

Shallax, Thanks for the reply. With the new bootloader, I was able to get gentoox installed with Stardust ('F' install). However, when I reboot the system, I get a pink flickering screen and can't read a thing. I've read the tutorials and understand that I need to ssh in and run magic. I've setup my...

Thanks for the reply. Turns out the problem I am having is more likely to do with the bios not loading correctly (no video), as posted in this thread: http://forums.shallax.com/viewtopic.php?t=1720 Looks like the Stardust.iso is just a standard UDF file, easily burned to disc afterall. But I'm still...

no video with stardust bios (home v3)?
I've got a new Xenium Ice installed on a 1.4 xbox. I've flashed both resolution stardust bioses with no problems, however, I get no video with either bios. The controller rumbles, the eject led cycles colors, and the dvd ejects to take the Stardust.iso cd, but NO VIDEO. Anyone else have problems wit...

Burning Stardust.iso with cdrecord?
Not having luck burning the Stardust.iso (home version) with Toast 6 on mac 10.3.4 that will read on my xbox (1.4 w/Samsung Drive) using TDK 4x cd-rw media or Taiyo-Yuden CD-R media. I figure I'll try 'cdrecord' (linux/unix command line). Can someone please post the settings they usually use: Ie bur...
