The minimum requirement for bf1942 server is 4x the physical memory of the xbox. No way, never.

Teamspeak OR counter-strike should be no problem as long as you have the UPSTREAM bandwidth to support it.

In my screenshot I've displayed Konqueror, Kwrite and Kmines. If IceWM didn't work too well with KDE programs, your mileage CERTAINLY varied from what I had.

@Sniper Fox - Please help!! best regards Craxx;) Sorry bud, I've never used idesk. Why spoil a nice minimal window manager with needless bloat like desktop icons and background wallpaper (who wants a giant jpeg / png image loaded all the time? ) Instead, just put: xsetroot blue or your favor...

They seem to have moved the CVS on us. The script (1st post) has been updated to reflect the new CVS location found on their homepage (http://www.transgaming.com)

Careful what you say here. There is no LEGAL way to run both linux and xbox games on the same xbox (you have to use illegally hacked MS BIOS rather than 100% legal cromwell).

None of us can help you because we're unwilling to buy / pirate the plugin, sorry. It should work exactly the same on gentoox as it does on gentoo. Did you try the official gentoo forums?

It already comes with samba (print / file) and VNC, just enable them. To use it as a router you'd need a 2nd network card (USB). For sending email you could emerge sendmail or exim or qmail. You'll need to emerge a few other packages to get pop3 / imap. emerging apache and mod_php to get PHP webhost...

Someone who doesn't know what a RAR file or an ISO file are should stick with windows. Linux is nowhere near as user friendly as windows is, and requires alot of by-hand tweaking and maintainence. You're going to be asking for help and configuring your OS 10x more than you actually use it for the fi...

I've been unable to get the linux emulators to work as well as the xbox natively ported ones from sites such as http://xport.xbox-scene.com . Hopefully n64 will work better since linux has virtual memory.

For minimum RAM usage, check out my tutorial on how to install and configure IceWM. It uses half the RAM that XFCE uses (the proof is in my post). Like fuz said, you can try running without a WM at all. Simply modify your /home/gentoox/.xinitrd. Put a # in front of all of the lines that don't curren...
